Knowledge through experiences

« på: 09-11-2008, 11:35:38 »

Hi there all,

In shamanism there are no gurus with all the answers but teachers of wisdom. One learn from one´s own experiences until one becomes enlightened.

Peace and love.

But....Gurus are also teachers of wisdom.

I think again you have this Hindu fixation going on.

Shiva is a great shaman.

And you have Ganesh in your avatar.

How come you have this aversion against hindu conceptions, you yourself being a religious shaman as you say.

What is it with religious people, they think there own religion or "faith" is the only true one ?

Are you trying to escape the past,by rejecting that wich once nourished you  ?

What will become of us here on the zone, when we become your   PAST?

I wonder

I agree with you T,

One can learn a lot of things in religion and from the people who chooses to belong to one.

As you probably have noticed from my writing, I tend to go my own way to find enlightenment.

This is why I started the topic shamanism vs. religion in order for the members on the zone to discuss and learn about religions.

I’m not trying to escape T, I just want to have a dialog about topics related to shamanism, and that includes almost everything in the world since shamanism is based on experiences, knowledge and wisdom.

I guess I have been a little bit fixated about Hinduism lately. I believe it is many on the zone that want to include Hindu terms and beliefs in their faith.

Why not then call one a Hindu shaman? There is nothing wrong with that.

I choose not to think in terms of the past or the future, I try to live now. One learns from the past and knows little of the future.

I hope I answered your questions T.

Peace and love to you.

Ps.  I once met a Hindu Guru who said: "We will all find our place." Maybe this is my place.
